Spooky Halloween Fish at Aquariums

As Halloween approaches spooky sea creatures could freak you out if you weren't on the outside of a glass wall looking in.

World class Monterey Bay Aquarium invites the public to visit and see strange fish that reside in the ocean, which makes up 75% of the world's surface. (It is estimated that 75% of the creatures in the sea have yet to be discovered!) Here are a few Halloween-themed fish that Monterey Bay Aquarium staff have dug up for you:

1. Coffin Fish — macabre
2. Ghostfish — can almost see through them
3. Spookfish — king of the sea's Halloween costume contest
4. Vampire Squid — beware of a squid dressed in vampire's clothes
5. Goblinshark — as if a shark isn't scary enough!
6. Wolf Eel
7. Viper Fish
8. Black Dragon
9. Bat Ray
