On a recent visit to the Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium, we weren't disappointed. And you won't be either. Weekends bring the crowds who line up to enter, look, touch and explore inside the fabulous water world at the end of Manhattan Beach Pier.
Featuring tanks with a variety of local fish and touchable items such as sea stars and urchins, don't let the giant, artificial shark suspended overheard deter you from having a great time. However, you will leave respecting the sea just a little bit more, knowing that all the adorable and colorful plants and fish live in the water and yes, there are sharks in the Pacific Ocean, as well.
Make this a stop on your beach visit to Manhattan Beach. There are a variety of things to see and do, but this is a highlight.
Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium is open to the public daily free of charge, with a suggested donation of around $2. Sea Story Time Hour takes place on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. In the month of April they read books about the Earth and make a cool craft each Sunday.
