Kodak Theatre hosts the annual Academy Awards honoring the top actors, directors, film-makers, and film-making technicians each year in March. Designed with the Academy Awards broadcast in mind, Kodak Theatre has hosted the annual ceremony since 2001. Kodak Theatre is proud to be home to the highest honor in filmmaking through the year 2021.
First Academy Awards: May 16, 1929 - 1942 Held annually in the Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel during a banquet.
Guided tours of Kodak Theatre - Experience all of the renowned elegance and celebrity glamour that the Home of the Academy Awards. Inside you can wander and look at the exhibits that include an Oscar statuette, see the George Eastman VIP Room, and sit in the Kodak Theatre which has hosted the Academy awards since 2001 and Daytime Emmy Awards, The ESPY Awards, The BET Awards, the American Idol finals, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and many more.
Tours are discontinued in early February due to the Academy Awards and resume in March after the event.
Guided tours of Kodak Theatre are available daily and depart every half hour from Level 2 entrance, lasting 30 minutes.
Cost is approx. Adults $15 Seniors (65 & over) $10 Youth (17 & under) $10 Children (under 3) Free. Tickets are sold at Kodak Theatre box office up to seven days in advance or are part of Hollywood CityPass.
