Huntington Beach Police Chief Ken Small's
Administrative Assistant Karin Reed asked me
to mention This Item:
Police Chief Small and other Orange County
Law Enforcement personnel attended the Peace
Officer's Memorial Ceremony last week at the
Civic Center Plaza, in Santa Ana. The
monument is a tribute to all the officers
who serve the County of Orange, and
remembrance to those who have made the
ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty”.
The bronze plaques bore the names of
officers of the law, who were killed in
action. The plaques are set in the shadows
of white uprights that portrayed police
officers at work. One of the uprights
depicts a lone rider on horseback, in memory
of the county's first officer killed in the
line of duty.
