In regards to Wednesday's Incident in
Newport Beach, Here is what Newport Beach
Mayor Nancy Gardner Said: The US Marshal
came in to serve someone for a NY case and
he boarded himself in, the SWAT team was
called out, but he surrendered. This occurred
in The Balboa Peninsula Area near 25th
Street and Balboa Boulevard.
The Huntington Beach Police Chief Ken
Small's Administrative Assistant Karin Reed
asked me to mention this Item:
Report a Crime Online
The Huntington Beach Police Department
online citizen police report system allows a
person to submit a report for certain minor
crimes. It also allows that person to print
a copy of the police report for free. This
provides a great convenience for most since
it can be done rather quickly with no time
delays. However, not all reports can be
filed online. Some reports need an officer
to respond to conduct an investigation and
document the incident in person. The police
department website gives detailed
information on what the requirements are for
filing a report online. Online crime
reporting allows you to file minor reports
for offenses such as lost property, petty
theft, harassing telephone calls and
vandalism. For more information on how to
use the system visit the police department
web page at www.hbpd.org and link to Report
a Crime Online”.
