Newport Beach Beaches: Newport Beach 32nd Street Beach is one of my favorite spots as I used to rent a beach house on this very street. It's a busy cross-street that runs in front of a strip mall that was renovated not long ago. It includes a chain grocery store, restaurants, services and a bank. 32nd Street easily connect Balboa and Newport Blvds. that are a mere block running parallel to each other at this location. On one side 32nd Street ends at the ocean-facing beaches of the peninsula, while the other side of this fairly short street connects to another strip mall, Lido Village and the road to access Lido Island. Lido Island is a residential, manmade island with not many things to see or do for visitors. It is just house after house, a yacht club, lots of boat docks, a few community parks and that's about it.
32nd Street Beach has limited street parking and the beach, itself, is a nice point not far from Newport Pier, which is at 21st Street.
Though tourists don't frequent this beach quite as much as beaches closer to Newport Beach's two piers, they can easily access it and ride past it on the paved beach path. When you live in the area, 32nd Street is always a great place to meet and jog, sunbathe or relax.
