Sunset Beach, California attracts all kinds of beach-goers. They range from toddlers with parents to teens, 20's, 30's... and up. Young couples like to stop by the beach in late afternoon with their sodas and shoes, hand-in-hand along the sand berm in the winter time.
The berm is built due to high tides during the winter that has been known to flood the first floor of houses in Sunset Beach and Surfside, its neighboring town.
Anyone who wants to access the beach can climb the sandy hill which does tend to slide a bit. There are access points where you don't have this hill to cope with such as Sunset Beach near Warner Ave. where the beach meets Bolsa Chica State Beach border.
Couples and sunsets go together in Sunset Beach. Kids and sand berms go together, too!
