Sunset Beach Junior Lifeguards

Junior Lifeguards is a program that invites youngsters to try out for camp in which they learn the basic schools necessary to grow into jobs and potentially careers in local lifeguard services.

In Sunset Beach the Junior Lifeguards have been meeting for summer camp sessions for over a decade. You can recognize them by the deep red swim wear they typically have on.

They usually can be seen at Sunset Beach and throughout the beaches of the area--Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Newport Beach, etc.

Some of the more interesting drills and lessons to watch include seeing the kids go out in the ocean for their very first surfing sessions.
