Sunset Beach is ideal for kite surfing. There's a rental place across the street on Pacific Coast Highway where you can get suited up and try the sport. But most people who ply these waves own their equipment and are regulars who come to Sunset Beach and Surfside beaches for morning or afternoon workouts when the wind picks up.
