The City's motto, Where Everything Grows, has been named one of the 100 Best Communities for Young People for a third time. Centrally located within an hour of the beach, desert, and mountains, Chino is located in San Bernardino County, near Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties. Chino incorporated in 1910.

Housed in History
Historic Gray House now owned by the City of
Chino, one of only two designated historic landmarks in the city of
Chino. The Chino Valley Chamber occupies the first floor.
Built in 1887 for city founder Richard Gird, the 3,000 sq. ft., seven-room, two-story Victorian house is deemed to be one of the oldest buildings in Chino. Victorian Stick architecture style, the Gray
House sports a simple 5-color combination of light green, maroon, yellow, rose and gold. historical landmark.

For the past 50 years, the most intensive dairying in California has
centered in the Chino Valley. At one time, the valley was home
to more than 400 dairies and 400,000 cows. The local dairy,
agriculture, and ranching industry played a vital role in establishing
the Chino Valley's foundation, which later became the leading dairy
area in the United States.

The lure of the beautiful rural atmosphere, surrounded by the
San Gabriel Mountains and rolling hills, has enticed thousands to
move to the Chino Valley, where residents enjoy a more open,
relaxed, rural, and scenic environment. Encompassing nearly 31 miles, Chino is home to over 232 acres of dedicated park space, providing residents with community and neighborhood parks, trails and facilities, along with a host of recreational opportunities.

There is always something happening in Chino. Events include: Youth Christmas Parade and Fair; the Chino Track Meet; Run for Russ; Farmers Market, Bark Around Ayala Park; Kiwanis Concert Series and Corn Feed Run events; Seniors on the Square; and the Chino Relay for Life
