In 1993 Crumb left California and moved to France to embark on a new chapter in his career.

Winters hosts artists in regularly scheduled art walk events, but much of the inspiration for art creations comes from the landscape. Winters weather offers the ideal climate for growing wheat, walnuts, almonds, grains, fruits and tomatoes. Don't be surprised to see farm stands selling fresh produce from the fields to your hands.
