In 2004, the Big Sandy Band of Western Mono Indians embarked on the vision of creating Big Sandy Rancheria Resort, Casino & Spa. In 2005 the casino reached a settlement with the federal government for payment of disputed funds. The casino now operates full-time with a restaurant, gaming, and entertainment such as an Elvis impersonator some weekends. The casino also has a gift store where the items such as earrings, necklaces, cell phone covers, baby baskets and other gifts and fashion wear are made by hand.

Mono Wind features slot machines and table games, and the Broken Arrow Restaurant.

Located 37 miles northeast of Fresno in the Sierra National Forest, the casino is accessible from California 180.
