Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Arcadia hosts its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on the first Thursday of December. Santa Claus arrives on the Big Red Fire Truck. He disembarks and proceeds to the awaiting crowd and Christmas Tree. After some dignitaries, speeches and carolers singing holiday music, Arcadia's Mayor signals Santa to light the tree. Stick around for activities such as visit with Santa, crafts for the kids such as face painting, balloon art and drawing, coloring, etc.  The celebration includes free hot cocoa and treats and lots of photo-taking opportunities for the folks to capture special moments. The tree lighting marks the beginning of fun holiday festivities in Arcadia.

Arcadia Snow Festival

Snow Festival, with snow play, sledding, face painting, and photobooth,  Fun for all!   Make Your Own Snow Globes at Gilb Museum on December 7, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m., and craft your very own snow globe! Snow globes are available on a first come, first served basis. No registration required.

Chanukah Gelt Drop and Menorah Lighting

Celebrate Chanukah with a gelt drop and menorah lighting, hosted by the Chabad of Arcadia! It’s fun for the whole family at the Arcadia Transit Plaza.

Arcadia Transit Station is located on the northwest corner of North First Avenue & East Santa Clara Street, a short block away from Downtown Arcadia’s main commercial area on Huntington Drive. A 300-car parking structure is just west of the station and city’s transit plaza. Bicycle parking and lockers also available.

Lightscape's Singing Trees - As you walk by the Singing Trees, you'll get a unique perspective as if moving through a choir. Choral singers were recorded for each tree. You'll hear the soprano, alto, tenor and bass performing in harmony for the trees as they illuminate.
