Most years the city hosts Holiday in the Park in November. It features street artists, bands, over 100 artisan booths, food and a day of fun. Spanning 10 blocks or approx. 1 mile, there are over 100 stores and exhibitors!

The two-day holiday themed event isn't just about shopping, though that activity takes center stage. From live musical entertainment to DIY project tables, face painting and "make your own slime," it's a great place to take kids for a day of family fun.

Weekly farmer's markets and special pop-up shopping events such as the Jackalope Indie Artisan Fair draw crowds who want to be outdoors during the usually warm winter holidays. Such fairs are really everywhere in California, however, so we dug a little deeper to see what else is going on.

There's an annual Burbank Mayor's Tree Lighting which brings some sparkle to City Hall.
