If you love California beaches then you'll be delighted to know that you are not alone. Santa Claus holds a special fondness for our Pacific Coast and he shows his commitment by surfing onto the beach to meet kids and listen to them talk.  Artist Bill Anderson loves Santa, surfing and children. He taught art in the Southern California school system and has produced a print-your-own Surfing Santa activity for children (or adults).

Dana Point Surfing Santa Contest

Annual surfing competition held at the State Beach at the base of the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. It's a public beach with dedicated parking so don't be intimidated.

Always a good time at the annual Seaport Village Surfing Santa event! There's plenty of Meet & Greet with the cool Surfing Santa dude, usually a surfboard with an epic wave painted on the backdrop behind it for photo ops, and entertainment which has included a mini-parade in the past.

 Ventura Harbor's annual Santa Paddle invites the public to join in on the water for a scenic one-hour paddle procession from Ventura Harbor Village bay in front of Ventura Boat Rentals through the marina to the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center and back. Dress in the spirit of the season as festive elves, reindeer, holiday trees, and  don your best Santa Hat! The best dressed (group or individual) in holiday spirit receives a $25 Boatyard Pub Gift Card! Paddlers of all skill levels (kayak, SUP and pedal) are welcome to participate with a life vest. Guests can bring their own equipment and launch at the C dock in Ventura Harbor Village, or rent a kayak, stand up paddle board, or character pedal boats from Ventura Boat Rentals. There will be a group photo as well.

See Santa both on the water and with his live reindeer throughout the day at the Winter Wonderland & Holiday Marketplace 12-4 p.m.
