Each year The Walk  brings together thousands of fun-loving people into the Village of Corona del Mar for live entertainment (over 12 bands,) food, prizes and games in true holiday spirit! The popular Fireman's Grill BBQ provided by the Newport Beach Fire Department, restaurant tastings, vendors, snap shots with Santa Claus, bounce houses, bungee jumping, holiday characters and a petting zoo are a few of the attractions.

Stop by the beer & wine garden to quench your thirst. The Corona del Mar annual Christmas Walk is a fantastic way for people to personalize the town that they drive through or reside in. It's a fascinating afternoon of sights, sounds and tastes! 

Corona del Mar Nights of 1000 Lights

December 5-22, 2024, 5-8 p.m.

Actual dates:  December 5, 12, & 19, 2024 (Member Nights)
December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22, 2024, 5-8 p.m.
Three entry times: 5 pm, 6 pm, & 7 pm

Sherman Library & Gardens is always special with its thoughtfully arranged botanical displays and peaceful garden setting. But the gardens become magical during December when the lights go up in time for Nights of 1000 Lights. Light displays, live music, Santa, hot chocolate & s'mores warm the heart on cool coastal nights. And there's nothing more heart-warming than rekindling the  the joys of sweet Candy Land through holiday decor reminiscent of the vintage board game from childhood memories:

  • Lollypop Woods
  • Gumdrop Mountains
  • Peppermint Stick Forest
  • Candy Land Express Train
  • Candy Heart Carnival for kids
  • Glistening Light Tunnel
  • Old Peanut Brittle House
  • The Wishing Tree
  • Fire pit for S'mores - fire-roasted marshmallow, graham crackers and Hershey chocolate bar

For 13 Nights in December the public can stroll through Sherman Gardens and experience a dazzling display of lights and whimsical things to do just for fun. Kids love it, too! Stroll along the Rainbow Trail, past the Lollypop Woods and the Gumdrop Mountains, through the Peppermint Stick Forest, and the glistening light tunnel, on your way to the Candy Heart Carnival, featuring carnival games for kids of all ages.

Visit the Molasses Swamp, the, and the  on your way to visit Santa in his workshop. Then head to the fire pit and whip up your own batch of s'mores. The Garden Shop will be open and is a must-see for unique holiday gift ideas. Make a wish at The Wishing Tree  and create lasting memories with friends and family celebrating the holidays at Sherman Library & Gardens.
