Arvin Christmas Parade & Holiday Lights

 Arvin’s Christmas parade is in danger of being canceled in 2024 as city government on short notice tries to make it happen in early December. Although hosted annually by the Arvin Chamber of Commerce a new permitting process from Caltrans is cost-prohibitive: "The legislative changes and charges are making it so impractical to do anything." Randy Thompson with the Arvin Chamber of Commerce. Thompson said  "It's so expensive just to get an engineer to stamp a little piece of paper that has our parade route." Arvin City Manager Jeff Jones said  most likely by altering the route, "The city of Arvin intends for the show to go on, just a different route." If the parade is rerouted to avoid Highway 223, Caltrans’ approval won’t be required.

Parade Route: The parade route is Campus Drive, Bear Mountain Boulevard, Derby and Tucker Streets.

Holiday Lights: 6:45-10 p.m. City Hall, 200 Campus Dr.

Arvin Christmas Parade includes the City Holiday Lights Festival which takes place at Arvin City Hall beginning at 6:45 p.m. The parade commences on Bear Mountain Boulevard at 7 p.m. Dress warm and wear your happiest smile because it promises to be big time fun in a home town atmosphere that Arvin is known for. Everybody will be there -- you should come!

57th Annual Lamont Christmas Parade sponsored by the Lamont Lions Club! Celebrate the rich history and heritage of community, as well as the infinite possibilities for families and children. As always, entrants should feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
