Over the years, Palm Springs Festival of Lights of Parade has featured marching bands, Budweiser Clydesdales, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Snoopy and the Gang, and it always has welcomed Santa and Mrs. Claus!

The parade launches at 5:45 p.m. along Palm Canyon Drive. The much-loved holiday tradition in downtown Palm Springs was formed by a small group of community minded individuals who sought to experience a Coachella Valley event that would bring spirit and joy during the holiday season while creating a unique tourism attraction. Another popular parade, the Golf Cart Parade, was founded in a similar manner.
