Adorned with ornaments and twinkling lights, the tree decor reflects the vintage character of the Historic District's time period between 1935 and 1955, transforming the seaside cottages into a stunning seasonal display.
Parking at Los Trancos parking lot on the inland side of Pacific Coast Highway; $ shuttle each way.
Historic District New to the holiday festivities this
year, the Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. Proceeds
from the bazaar will benefit restoration and education
efforts for Crystal Cove State Park and the Historic
District. Every year, just after Thanksgiving, Crystal Cove
is transformed into a holiday wonderland with vintage ornaments, twinkling
lights, and a beautiful, majestic tree on the beach. The first Saturday in
December is the Annual Tree Lighting & Holiday Bazaar complete with Santa
arriving via a lifeguard vehicle to greet the crowd.
As Santa and strolling carolers join the event, complimentary hot chocolate,
apple cider and home- baked goodies will be provided by The Beachcomber
Cafe. The tree lighting ceremony begins at dusk.
The Holiday Bazaar usually takes place in the newly restored Education Commons. Items for sale will include fine art paintings by Crystal Cove Park Store artists as well as hand-made items and holiday gifts. Orange County authors may be on-site to sign books.

The Coastal Tree, located next to The Beachcomber Cafe, usually remains lit and decorated throughout the holiday season. As the only holiday tree display on the beach of the California coast, it is the perfect place to snap a family holiday photo.
