 Santa and his elves from the Recreation Division ride the Jolly Trolley, stopping at the park locations to hand out pre-packaged treats for kids up to 12 years of age and collecting letters to Santa. Please include your mailing address on the letter so Santa can return a special letter to you. At the last stop, La Plaza Park,  the annual community tree lighting ceremony from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. features carolers, hot cocoa, and cookies. Guests are invited to bring  unwrapped toys for the Toy Drive.

Kick off the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony festivities, holiday music, a special appearance from Santa Claus, hot cocoa, and a countdown to light the spectacular 40-foot tree.  Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Surfers Healing. Tickets are required for entry and add-ons are available for purchase, including our Sip & Savor and Kids Holiday Delight offers.  Public is invited to this annual event and lighting of the tree.
