Get in the holiday spirit for the city's tree lighting right at City Hall. If you've never seen Downey City Hall, this is a great opportunity to attend and enjoy the lovely grounds with decorated holiday adornments, including the grand tree.

It is lit annually after dark. Free event, come and bring your family and friends. Downey Lion's Club plans to hand out hot cocoa and candy canes!

Route: The parade begins on Downey Avenue at Florence Avenue and heads south, finishing at the Civic Center.

Downey's annual Christmas Parade launches the festive holiday celebrating in Downtown. It's held Sunday afternoon, followed by the tree lighting the next day at City Hall. The parade returns with holiday pageantry and merriment, featuring floats, vintage cars, marching bands, dance groups, dignitaries, and more.
