Kick-off the Merced Holiday Season with Holiday Pops, followed by the Annual MERCO Tree Lighting in Bob Hart Square at 6 p.m. Concert attendees can carol down Main Street for this favorite tradition! Directly after the Merced Symphony Holiday Pops Concert at the Merced Theater, head for the annual tree lighting ceremony which normally is held on the same day as parade. This year it is a separate event on a different day. Merced's Main Street stores will be open. There will be entertainment at the grandstand at Bob Hart Square with bands and choral groups singing Christmas carols. There will be a lot of people handing out candy, and balloons.

Castle Air Museum Christmas Tree Lighting!

A magical night for the whole family at the Castle Air Museum in Merced (technically it's in Atwater, but the verbiage says 'Merced') includes the splendid Tree Lighting Ceremony, free hot chocolate, delicious cookies, and festive fun! See Santa Claus and bring an unwrapped toy to help brighten the holidays for children in need.  The Castle Gift Shop stays open until 8 p.m. as well as Copper Wings Cafe.
