Annual Tree Lighting on the Pond at the Paramount Pond

Featured entertainment from local dance companies, church choirs, and the marching band and choir from are usually part of the merriment for this hometown holiday event.

 23rd Annual Tree Lighting with Free Grupo Neblina Concert The City is excited to announce our 23rd Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will be live and in person again! The Tree Lighting will kick off the season at the intersection of Paramount Blvd. and Jackson St. on Wednesday, December 1 starting at 6 p.m. Immediately after, there will be a concert by Grupo Neblina from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will also be the annual lineup of entertainment featuring local dancers and musicians. There will also be Santa's special visit and plenty of cookies and hot chocolate available for the crowd.

40 foot Paramount tree is lit at the annual Paramount Tree Lighting Ceremony sponsored by the city and held each year at Paramount Park. In a community that's largely Hispanic with roots grounded deeply in Christmas traditions, the annual ceremony offers an opportunity to take time off of busy schedules and celebrate the traditions of Christmas with family members. The event is a simple festive celebration with snacks, and perhaps a chance to Santa Claus...keep your eyes open wide.
