Bring your holiday spirit and appetite to this annual tradition that's over a century old (not kidding)! Food vendors at the event promise to cook up some delicious options that include: Tacos, Bahn Mi and more, Luv's Brownies and coffee, and La Marquesita Crepes.
Celebrating its 113th anniversary this year, the Holiday Tree Lighting event in Santa Clara is a cherished tradition that has brought the community together for over a century. 2024 Honorary Holiday Tree Lighter Mike Walke embodies the meaning of the holiday season of giving through community service, generosity, and a heartfelt positive spirit. He serves as the Santa Clara Police Activities League (PAL) Executive Board President which oversees 11 various programs for Santa Clara's youth.
Community giving doesn't stop with one individual or group, and you can personally participate in the Holiday Toy Drive. See Sparky at the Fire Dept. Booth to donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages 7-17 years to help bring smiles to the kids of Santa Clara!

The traditional start of the
holiday season in Santa Clara turns on hundreds of twinkling lights on the
City's holiday tree. The event features Teddy residing atop the 90-foot lit
tree in Central Park
Roll back to 2015: it was a special celebration to include additional special activities as Santa Clara launched its Countdown to Kickoff, a series of Super Community activities leading up to Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium in February 2016.
Other fun community events in Santa Clara include the summer concert series and Halloween.
