This year (2024) is a special Centennial Year celebration featuring a pre-show concert with The Alley Cats. Winter Village during and after the tree lighting features fun for everyone, but especially the little ones who get to see Santa.

6 p.m. Tree Lighting

6:15 p.m. See Santa, Activities Open - crafts, train rides and more

The public is invited to attend the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony which will officially ring in the start of the holidays.

Enjoy festive treats and holiday music with Signal Hill dignitaries and community members alike in this free event for all to attend. Let's ring in the holidays with a visit from Santa, festive treats, music and the lighting of the tree outside of City Hall.

Hot beverages for a cool night and other treats are expected, as is Santa's arrival. Get your cameras, bring your kids, and smile as your children light up joy.

Inclement weather will cancel the event.

Co-sponsored by the cities of Long Beach and Signal Hill, expect to see local politicians and dignitaries.
