Magic Clubs and Entertainment

There are many more magicians available for hire at parties and events than you can see at actual clubs, but one of the most famous places to watch magic happen is at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. Though you can't directly attend a show, if you stay all night at the popular Magic Castle Hotel or apply for a temporary membership (around $100) and are accepted, then you get to enter the inner sanctum of one of the most magical places on Earth.

Built in 1928, the Beverly Wilshire was one of the filming locations for the 1990 hit movie PRETTY WOMAN and more recently HBO's television series ENTOURAGE. Some well known celebrities who have actually lived at the famed hotel include Elvis Presley, Cary Grant, and Warren Beatty to name a few. And for over 30 years, in the plush penthouse suite, atop the original building, lived Mrs. Dorothy Ahmanson of the renown Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles.
