FREE summer concert series at The Marketplace by the main fountain.

With the popularity of the event, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Personal lawn chairs will be permitted in designated locations only, subject to space and availability. You are encouraged to dine ahead of the concert or order to-go to enjoy it during the show from the 18 restaurants that are part of The Marketplace Bakersfield. Delicious locations range from Five Guys Burgers and Fries, newly opened Chef’s Choice Noodle Bar, Applebee’s Grill & Bar, Qué Pasta! Mexican Cafe and more.  No coolers, picnic baskets, or outside alcohol, food, or beverages are permitted (bottled water, baby formula, baby food, and medications only). Enjoy our Thursday night specials all summer long including kids eating free at select restaurants and dinner menus for date nights.

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and an appetite to purchase food on-site and listen to the community band perform everything for patriotic to show tunes, pop and jazz. For more than 100 years, the Beale Band Concerts have continued the tradition of free concerts in the park Sunday nights in the summertime.
