Much Ado About Nothing  centers on love, honor, and deception, which leads to almost tragic consequences. Claudio and Hero fall in love and attempt to play matchmaker for Beatrice and Benedick, who can't stop bickering about how they hate love. The comedy ends happily enough, though.  With great costumes and quality wine it's a fantastic night out.

Shakespeare in the Vineyard is one of several outdoor shows during the summer, produced by SPARC Theater at Darcie Kent Vineyards.  SPARC's flagship program, Shakespeare in the Vineyard, (formerly known as Livermore Shakespeare Festival) brings over 5,500 attendees to Livermore Wine Country each summer for live productions.
 

Livermore Shakespeare Festival  is now called Shakespeare and Performing Arts Regional Company. The outdoor stage shows used to be held at Wente Vineyards Estate Winery but now take place at Darcie Kent Vineyards. Guests can enjoy Darcie's award-winning wines by the glass or bottle before and during the performances. Bring your own picnic to enjoy on the beautiful grounds before the show, pick up and carry in from your favorite downtown restaurant, or order from your favorite food delivery app!

Getting to Livermore:  Fly into Oakland International Airport - 30 miles / 45 minutes by car; or San Jose International Airport - 30 miles / 45 minutes by car.
