The Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival holds auditions in April - May for the summer Shakespeare in the Park production. casting@ SCShakespeareFest.org

Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival presents free summer Shakespeare productions in conjunction with LA Summerfest, a series of concerts and community events. Performances are staged outdoors in Towsley Canyon Park in Santa Clarita. The production auditions in the spring, rehearses in June and July, and is performed in July and August. 

In addition to summer programming, the company also brings low-cost theater performances to Title 1 schools in the North Los Angeles County area. The company is in a transitional phase, growing from  community-based roots towards a professional model in 2017.  The company  has received LA Arts Commission grants, as well as grants from the city of Santa Clarita, helping  support growth.
