Shakespeare's early comedy about two young men vying for the love of the same woman, is a fun and entertaining adventure for all. Shakespeare's tragedy, King Lear, is about an aging pagan king of ancient Briton, who descends into madness losing his throne, being imprisoned, and dying broken-hearted.
King Lear divides his kingdom among his two daughters who express their love for him, and banishes the third who is less flattering to him. His eldest daughters both then reject him.
