OCEANSIDE: Yankee Doodle Dinghy Parade: July 4, 2019, 1-3 p.m.
Oceanside Yacht Club sponsors the 16th annual parade oceansideyc.net for dinghies 12 feet and under, decorated in 4th of July themes. Free entry, awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th best entries. The Yankee Doodle Dinghy Parade will begin at 1:00pm in the Oceanside Harbor at the Oceanside Yacht Club and then continue on to the south end of the harbor. Anyone may decorate a patriotic dinghy 12 feet and under and enter in the parade. There is no entry fee, and trophies will be awarded.

The annual "Old Glory Boat Parade" sponsored by the American Legion Yacht Club and the American Legion Post 291 will be held in Newport Harbor on July 4, beginning at 1 p.m. See the harbor at its patriotic best as boats decorated in red, white & blue move through the water.  Free ALYC "Old Glory" Boat Parade Starts off Collins Island and proceeds through-out Newport Harbor. Parade starts and finishes at Balboa Island

The Club is known for sponsoring our Lake's Holiday Season Parade of Lights, the 4th of July Boat Parade and the Charity Sail a Thon in August. Club members and non members are encouraged to participate in these events and to compete for prizes for the best decorated boat.

Every year, the Monte Rio beach is crowded with people who come from all over to enjoy the spectacle of fireworks over the Russian River along with a Water Boat Parade & Carnival, Water Curtain and fireworks starting at dusk.   Water Carnival Boat Parade (begins around 9 p.m. with earlier staging.) A float parade on the river, as well as the famous Monte Rio Water Curtain, begins at dusk. Beautiful and patriotic images are shown on a curtain of water flowing from the Monte Rio bridge followed by fireworks. Entries accepted first come, first served.  Floats will be judged on the use of color and lighting; acting and/or performance; and overall concept and/or impression.

TWO HARBORS: Annual Dinghy Parade in Two Harbors July 6, 2019, 2-3 p.m.
Decorate your dinghy in a creative patriotic theme and follow us in a parade through the coves of the West End for the Annual Dinghy Parade. Meet at Isthmus Pier, all guests are welcome to join. Parade will start at the fuel dock in Two Harbors, all guests are welcome to join. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated dinghies. LAKEPORT: 4th of July Duct Tape Regatta Cardboard Duct Tape Race July 4, 2019, 10-11 a.m. Open to all participants that can build a cardboard & duct tape boat. Be there at 10:30 to sign up. The fun begins at 11 Location: Library Park, Lakeport Fees/Admission: Free. Lakeport Yacht Club hosts Cardboard and Duct Tape Regatta on July 4 at Library Park by the 1st Street launch ramp.
