Parade visitors begin to line up early. Many shops and sights along Main Street will be open.

The 4th of July Parade begins at 11 am at Collins Pine Park and rolls down Main Street Chester to the Meadow. Join a fantastic community celebration, the annual 4th of July Parade by participating in this year's tribute.

43rd Annual Chester Fun Run

July 4, 2024, 9 a.m.

 The one mile run/walk starts on Collins Pine lawn and proceeds down Chester's historic Main Street to the finish at the Bidwell House. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt and refreshments at the finish line.

Chester Rotary Duck Race

July 4, 2024, 2 p.m.

Finish line at Chester Park Bridge.  $5 to adopt a duck. Fundraiser with gifts and prizes for winners.

 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

This year, July 4, 2024, the Fireworks will be held at a different location with plans to return to the lake in 2025.

NO Fireworks Over Lake Almanor in 2024

Past info: The show begins after sundown. The 4th of July Fireworks show over Lake Almanor is a 25+ year tradition. The show is shot from a barge off of the tip of the Peninsula and brings a spectacular end to a day of celebrations. The show begins after sunset and is best seen in a boat near the Peninsula or from the west shore of the lake. There are many, more distant, viewing spots along the East Shore. We appreciate your generous donations to keep this wonderful tradition alive year after year.
