Claremont Village Freedom 5000 Run/Walk

1K Kids Fun Run, a 5K Run, and a 5K Walk/Competitive Race Walk through the streets of Claremont. The 1K Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under takes place at 7:30 a.m. All participants will receive a medal. The 5K Run begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K Walk begins at 8:05 a.m. Medals are given to the first 3 individuals in each division.

4th of July Parade

Tuesday, July 4, 2024, 10 a.m.

ROUTE: Starts at Memorial Park and travels south on Indian Hill, west on Harrison and ends at Larkin Park.

The 4th of July Parade is the highlight of the day with 60 entries, including bands, floats, specialty vehicles, musical and novelty groups, and dignitaries. Bring your bicycle and helmet and join the Kids on Bikes entry that leads the parade., with the festival, parade, and fireworks show.

July 4, 2024, 7-10 a.m. at Memorial Park is Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast

At 9 a.m. there will be a flag raising ceremony that includes presentations for the Grand Marshal, Honored Citizen, and Honored Community Group.

Festival takes place in Memorial Park, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The festival features  entertainment, food, non-profit organization information booths, and kids' activities. The T. Willard Hunter Speakers Corner will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

4th of July Fireworks Show

$10 pre-sale and at the gate, if available

The day ends with a concert and fireworks show at Pomona College Strehle Track. The gates open at 6:30 p.m. and Upstream band will play from 6:45-8:45 p.m. The fireworks show by Pyrospectaculars will begin at 9 p.m. Kiwanis BBQ dinner will also be available for sale. Tickets for the show are on sale at the Alexander Hughes Community Center, City Hall and Vons Market.
