The best little town parade in America enjoys an annul theme.
Parade route: Downtown Julian; Main Street. From Julian High School to Frank Lane Park. Time: 1 hour approx.

Two flyovers by vintage aircraft, a fly-over of 4 Stearman Bi Planes used in
WW2 to train pilots, and a second fly-over of one T-6 military training plane
and one T-34 military training plane
12 p.m. National Anthem and Parade
Celebrate Our Nation's Birthday in Julian. The stars and stripes moves down Main Street during this year's Fourth of July Parade.
10 a.m. Patriotic music will be played at three different stages along the route. Followed by live entertainment on the main stage and many fun activities.
10:30 a.m. Pre-Parade Pie Eating Contest. Participants sign-up at main stage.
12 Noon The National Anthem will be played. The parade begins as soon as the National Anthem is completed and the enormous American Flag has been carried, by the audience, down the street.
The Julian 4th of July Parade honors stars, stripes and pioneers… it's a homegrown event that celebrates the town's gold rush era history, the dedication of veterans and active duty military who serve our country, and local residents who cherish the special qualities of the little town tucked into the Cuyamaca Mountains east of San Diego.
High school kids lead their animals down Main Street, equestrian groups in full dress, locals riding in spiffy cars or vintage vehicles, the newly crowned Miss Julian and her entourage, the town doctor getting applause and town fire fighters getting cheers.
There are bands, WWII Submariner Veterans, bunting, banners, flags, color guards, and patriotic songs. Plan to get to the parade early, so you can find the perfect viewing spot.
