4th of July Parade starts in Westchester Park at 11 a.m. and follows along Loyola Blvd. to Loyola Marymount University. Parade includes floats, marching bands, and community service groups.
Founded in 2000, the parade celebrates small town ambience and home town values in the Playa & Westchester areas of coastal Los Angeles. It is spearheaded by the LA Coastal Chamber of Commerce, which was founded in 1953. The parade includes floats, kids groups, fancy cars with local dignitaries, bands and an abundance of red, white & blue decor. Look for a Statue of Liberty which often adorns a parade float entry.
