LONG BEACH: Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site volunteer docent training. Guide visitors through the 171 year-old adobe home using stories of the people who lived there and the objects they used as part of daily living, bring the site to life. Docent training begins on Wednesday, February 4th. Training for Garden Docents begins on Friday, February 20. House Docent training begins on Wednesday, February 4th, and continues on Wednesday afternoons through March 25th. Rancho Los Cerritos, 4600 Virginia Road, was built in 1844. The site, a National, State and Long Beach Historic Landmark, also includes historic gardens and a research library and archives.
