Castro Valley Center for the Arts

Castro Valley, CA 94546
Activities: Planting, weed abatement, trimming and mulch application.

Castro Valley Creek
3600 Norbridge Avenue
Meet in parking area adjacent to creek, behind KFC on Castro Valley Blvd.
Activities: Plant and trail maintenance, weed abatement, new mulch application, litter and debris removal, and invasive plant removal.

Cull Canyon Regional Recreation Area
East Bay Regional Park District

Castro Valley, CA 94552
Meet in Cull Canyon parking lot and look for Earth Day sign.
Activities: Planting about 60 plants, removing brush and weeds, and litter cleanup.

Castro Valley Boulevard/Redwood Road area
Meet in parking lot of 20980 Redwood Road
Activities: Litter removal and weed abatement in Downtown Castro Valley along Castro Valley Boulevard (between Marshall St. and Wilbeam Ave.) and Redwood Road (between Lessley Ave. and Somerset Ave.).

Lake Chabot Regional Park
17930 Lake Chabot Road
Castro Valley, CA 94546
Meet at Main Parking Lot for project by the entrance on Lake Chabot Road.
Activities: Small planting projects at various locations in the park and shoreline litter cleanup.

Rowell Ranch Rodeo Park
9725 Dublin Canyon Road
Castro Valley, CA 94552
Activities: Painting, litter cleanup and some weed abatement.

Large-item recycling and compost giveaway  from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canyon Middle School. Used mattresses and tires will be accepted for recycling, and residents can drop off up to 10 bankers boxes filled with documents for shredding. Three 1-cubic-yard bags of compost (to Castro Valley residents or business owners only) while supplies last.
