behind KFC on Castro Valley Blvd.
Activities: Plant and trail maintenance,
weed abatement, new mulch application,
litter and debris removal, and invasive
plant removal.
Cull Canyon Regional Recreation Area

for Earth Day sign.
Activities: Planting about 60 plants,
removing brush and weeds, and litter
cleanup.

along Castro Valley Boulevard (between
Marshall St. and Wilbeam Ave.) and

Activities: Small planting projects at
various locations in the park and
shoreline litter cleanup.

Activities: Painting, litter cleanup and
some weed abatement.
Large-item recycling and compost giveaway from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canyon Middle School. Used mattresses and tires will be accepted for recycling, and residents can drop off up to 10 bankers boxes filled with documents for shredding. Three 1-cubic-yard bags of compost (to Castro Valley residents or business owners only) while supplies last.
