Naturalist John Muir historic site celebrates Earth Day, honoring the man who inspired people all over the world to keep close to nature's heart. In this spirit, we celebrate John Muir's birthday (April 21) at his former home, along with Earth Day, which brings us closer to knowing our planet and practical ways to help it thrive.

In 2019 celebrating John Muir’s 181st birthday the Anniversary of Earth Day and the National Park Service Centennial plus the 63rd Anniversary of the John Muir Association.
