Ojai Earth Day  features events for all ages. The festival features an interactive area for the entire family to enjoy. Yoga, Tai Chi, Peace Sticks, and Kids Creative Movement will keep the flow going, while inventor/ permaculturist/ artist Ray Cirino and his Dragon Oven help teach young and old about creating cob bricks and greywater showers.

Musical Performances

  • Ray Powers - Composer/Songwriter who wrote Valley of the Moon Suite to honor the Ojai Valley’s gift of incredible nature, will be opening the Stage lineup with his gentle native flute compositions, followed by an opening ceremony by Chumash Elder Julie Tumamait-Stenslie.
  • Rose Valley Thorns
    Shylah Ray Sunshine - known for her hit single 'Existence'
  • Brothers Koren - Their music has been featured in major movies, including the hit 'Ashes' lend hope and inspiration to the local communities affected by the recent fires.
  • Vaughn Montgomery - leads the Community Sing-a-long

Engaging speakers for the day will cover a range of environmental topics. Wildlife protection is in the news with the Ventura County Wildlife Corridors proposal, and Beth Pratt of the National Wildlife Foundation will come from the Yosemite area to update and educate about the benefits of this proposal.

Ojai Raptor Center brings indigenous raptors and talks about stewarding for wildlife and our shared environment.

Los Padres ForestWatch  shares the latest information on the responses to the Bureau of Land Management proposals to open up new permits for oil drilling and fracking along the foothills of the Ojai Valley.

Other speakers will cover topics such as making Ojai bike friendly, our relationship with the Ojai watershed, regenerative agriculture, new advances in solar technology, and more.

Additional highlights at the Stage include a reading of winning essays from Green School Collective students, and a drawing for a $100 Toad&Co gift certificate. All attendees who arrive by 3 p.m. are eligible to participate in the drawing that will be held at 4 p.m.
