Fridays and Saturdays: First train departs at 7 p.m. Last train departs at 9:30 p.m.
Sundays: First train departs at 7 p.m. Last train departs at 9 p.m.   

Climb aboard the spooky (not scary) ride through the haunted forest at Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont designed especially for families with children under 12. Live actors supply the fun - the famous Witch of Ardenwood and other characters, along with colorful Halloween displays in between the scenes. Nothing will jump out or frighten young children.

Fremont Halloween Trick or Treat

Food trucks, music, Halloween Fun for everyone! The trick or treat aspect of this event is ticketed where kids go to miniature houses collecting goodies (in 30 minute time slots.) The event is free to attend for all ages.

Since 1969, the Candle Lighters Ghost House has created  Halloween memories for generations of Tri-City families. The Haunted House is located in Williams Historical Park, which is next to Chili's, on Fremont Boulevard at the Fremont Hub between Mowry Avenue and Walnut Avenue.

Special Ghost House Events Kids Costume Parade

October 19, 2024, 1 p.m.

Registration opens at 12:30 p.m. Each participant receives a goodie bag and  trophies are awarded in several age categories.

Lights On Tour

October 19, 2024, 2-3 p.m.

All the scary sounds and special effects  are turned off and all the lights ON. Nothing moves or jumps out of the shadows, because there are no shadows! This is a great way to show little ones that it’s all just pretend. And for haunt fans, it’s a fun behind-the-scenes way to see how it all works. Lights On Tour happens right after  Candle Lighters Kids Costume Parade and Contest for one hour only.
