If you're looking for something to crow about in the LA area during Halloween season, check out CARVED, a nightly adventure in which the botanical garden is artfully decorated and lit with eerie, spooky, silly and even happy jack-o-lanterns. Guests purchase a special night ticket to wander the walking paths filled with just enough light to safely find your way, but not too bright to change the intended effect of this Halloween-themed attraction that has people oohing and aahing.

The new Descanso Railroad is specially lit for Carved, and a family of wood spirits carved from five enormous logs by Chainsaw Jenna  add a touch of playful mischief to the event. You’ll be amazed by luminous jack-o-lanterns, hand-carved giant pumpkins and Rhizome installation by Tom and Lien Dekyvere.
