When Pismo Beach Pier underwent renovation in 2017  the Pumpkins on the Pier event was moved to another venue. The Pismo Beach Pier officially re-opened on October 20, 2018 but the event continued to be held elsewhere and has been renamed Pumpkins in the Park.

Annual Pumpkins in the Park (formerly Pumpkins on the Pier) Halloween celebration includes pumpkin decorating, games, crafts, bounce houses, and costume contests.

• Pumpkin decorating with free pumpkin for 1st 500 kids
• Bounce houses

In addition to Christmas, the pier is the spot for an event celebrating Pumpkins on the Pier, the annual Egg Hunt, and the Annual Clam Festival.
