The Ojai Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 11461 present their Free Annual Memorial Day Community Celebration. A display throughout the park will be on view during the day.

OJAI MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST May 29, 2023, 7-10 a.m. at the American Legion Hall, 843 E. Ojai Ave., Ojai. $5, free for veterans. Start your day with scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, and coffee and tea.

OJAI MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT May 29, 2023, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Foreign Wars Post 11461 hosts the free Memorial Day concert at Libbey Bowl with Master of ceremonies is Pat Pothier.

• Wall of Remembrance honoring more than 2,000 Ventura County veterans
• Taps to close the Memorial Day concert at Libbey Bowl is performed by returning trumpeter Howard Hudson

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY TRI-TIP BBQ

May 29, 2023, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

American Legion Auxiliary  hosts the tri-tip barbecue at American Legion Hall. Dinner, including beans, salad and bread, is $10, free for veterans.

OAK VIEW MEMORIAL DAY BREAKFAST & PARADE May 29, 2023, 10 a.m. on Old Grade Road.

Called the smallest parade in the world, the event returns after hiatus during the pandemic. 2022 was actually its first year back.

Hot dog BBQ gathering is being planned following the patriotic, small town parade.
