One of the best fairs in all of California, the Fresno County Fair doesn't have the longest date run, nor the biggest crowds of all California fairs, but it does have one of the best looking layouts and nicest displays. Fresno County is the top agriculture county in the U.S. and as such, the quality of competitions in food and livestock & animals are some of the finest you'll see anywhere.

An example of entertainment from a past concert season included ZZ Top, Billy Idol, Merle Haggard and Little Anthony & the Imperials--all crowd pleasers.

Really cool places to visit during the fair look like painted sets right out of the Disneyland Park. Land O'Lakes Butter Barn Laser Shooting Gallery, Found Children's Gingerbread House, Sports Zone, Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand, Pirates in the Park, McCaffrey Miner's Town, Granville Homes Horse Palace Tree House, Catfish Falls, Fort Fresno and many other attractions offer great eye candy for those who love the fair.

Of course there's the midway, carnival rides, bands, community concerts, dance groups, and the newborn piglets and chicks that everybody loves to see.
