Mammoth Fall Century Gran Fondo is more than just another Gran Fondo bike ride. This is a Bucket-List” Gran Fondo option includes a "pro-style" mass start, With a start and finish elevation of 8,074 feet and 6,879 total feet of climbing, this ride is as challenging as it is beautiful. Although there is a lot of climbing on this very scenic route, the climbs are nicely spaced-out with long and fast descents that will have you grinning from ear to ear...and there will be plenty of time to recover before the next climb! September 5-7, 2014 PETALUMA Emigrant Trails Bike Trek Friday to Sunday. The Emigrant Trails Bike Trek is an annual fundraiser for Breathe California of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails. This event is a 3 day bike trek with 3 days cycling staged at Camp Richardson with 2 nights camping, on-road support, themed rest stops, catered meals, entertainment and more. The Race Across America Cycling Challenge is a 9-event series offering a wide range of cycling--from recreation riding to racing--in the some of the best cycling destinations in America. June 13, 2015 CHESTER - Lake Almanor Fall Century. The 1st Annual Lake Almanor Fall Century has 3 different routes to choose from. Located where the scenic Southern Cascades bump into the gentle Northern Sierras, the Lake Almanor Fall Century will treat you to the beautiful fall foliage on the back roads that wander through the forests surrounding Lake Almanor and the Indian Valley. This is not a race, but a collection of tours for cyclists of all abilities. The purpose of this event is to promote recreational bicycling under the volcano in the shadow of Northern California's incredible Lassen Peak with scenic views around Lake Almanor. Proceeds from this event are invested in organized recreation in the Lake Almanor Basin and provide support for the Chester/Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce. This Ride offers friendly volunteers, good food, live entertainment, and the most beautiful scenery in Northern California. Century Ride (108 Miles) – This is a relatively easy Ride by Century standards. It takes you around Lake Almanor and through the peaceful Indian Valley. Approximately 3,200' total elevation climb. Metric Century (56 Miles) – This Ride encompasses the entire Almanor Basin. It is recommended for the cyclist who desire a challenging loop without the distance and the bigger climbs found in the full Century Ride. Approximately 1,500' total elevation climb. Half Metric Century (33 Miles) – Take your time and enjoy the mountain vistas and the clean air. The Canary Challenge is a fully supported bike Ride, offering 50-kilometer, 75-kilometer, 100-Mile Rides — all with multiple food and water stops, mechanical and medical assistance, and plenty of SWAG. November 9, 2014 SAN LUIS OBISPO - SLO GranFondo. Ride some of the world's most beautiful terrain along the rugged California Central Coast! The new Giro Della Costa Centrale builds on the history and success of the SLO GranFondo. Giro Della Costa Centrale (Tour of the Central Coast) has all new routes, beautiful Central Coast scenery, challenging climbs, a new classic bike rally and everything Italian from food, music and wine at the Festivale Italiano at the 5-Star Trilogy Resort at Monarch Dunes. The rides benefit Hearst Cancer Resource Center at French Hospital Medical Center and Alpha.
