The Escondido Tamale Festival is a whole lotta' fun. Chihuahua Costume Contest, Tamale Recipe Contest, Tamales Ordering & Tasting, Baja & San Diego Craft Beer & Wine Garden and Grande Stage entertainment featuring Mariachis and Latin Dance provide a unique event that San Diego County has long waited for.

Interesting attractions offer the perfect blend to accompany delicious foods and beverages. Vendors sell Handmade crafts, holiday items, multicultural holiday decor, Maker San Diego, kids craft area Inflatable Bounce Houses!

 This free community event is a vibrant celebration of Hispanic heritage, bringing together food lovers, families, and festival-goers for a day of culture, fun, and tamales! Featuring non-stop entertainment on two stages, a lively beer garden, a dedicated Kids’ Zone, Hay Chihuahua Pet Contest, Catrinas and Catrines Competition, and local vendors with the highlight of the day -  the Tamale Contest.

Competitors put their tamale-making skills to the test. Who has the best tamales? Come taste for yourself! Attendees can expect live music, folklorico dance performances, mariachi bands, and much more, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that showcases the richness of Hispanic traditions.

USA Multicultural, the event sponsor, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving cultural heritages through dance, music, arts, and community festivals.
