Pumpkin Carvers Create Halloween Spirit
By C. MacDonald
Huntington Beach, CA--More than 300 happy kids and parents were excited and
delighted at Bella Terra's 2nd Annual Pumpkin Carving in the Pavilion. It was
something to see as pumpkins were carefully and creatively turned into fun and
festive decorations for homes.

"We couldn't wait for it to happen," said elated Lisa Thompson, who came last
year and returned with her husband, Chris, daughter Maya, 5, who loves to carve
the eyes, and son, C.J., 4, who likes to put in the candle, bringing the pumpkin
to life. "We all love pumpkins, I even cook the family pumpkin pancakes."
Bella Terra, 7777 Edinger, provided free pumpkins, carving devices, decorative
materials and even aids on just how to create your finest pumpkin face.
"We had 50 participants last year and more than six times that this year. It's a
great way to welcome in the Halloween season," said Cole Sako, Bella Terra's
Marketing Director. "The Pavilion is a terrific spot for pumpkin carvings and
other events." It's near some new businesses, such as Sweet XO, Nectar Juice
Bar, Old Navy, Eureka!, and Solita Tacos & Margaritas.
This year's pumpkin carving is something the families will never forget, until
next year's.
