Known for its week-long cavalcade of events, California Rodeo "Big Week" is the largest community event held in Salinas. Parades, barbecues, cowboy poetry, fireworks, concerts, a carnival, and much more. Salinas Rodeo ranks in the top 20 of nearly 800 North American rodeos sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Annual West Coast Disability Pride Parade & Festival on July 19, 2014 in downtown Mountain View celebrates the historical significance of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and coincides with many annual Disability Pride celebrations happening around the world. with a parade at 12 Noon.
