Known for its week-long cavalcade of events, California Rodeo "Big Week" is the largest community event held in Salinas. Parades, barbecues, cowboy poetry, fireworks, concerts, a carnival, and much more. Salinas Rodeo ranks in the top 20 of nearly 800 North American rodeos sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

MOUNTAIN VIEW: Disability Pride Festival. Annual West Coast Disability Pride Parade & Festival on July 19, 2014 in downtown Mountain View celebrates the historical significance of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and coincides with many annual Disability Pride celebrations happening around the world. with a parade at 12 Noon. POINT REYES SEASHORE: July 19, 2014 Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Annual Big Time Festival at Kule Loklo includes Native American trade festival at Kule Loklo, a Coast Miwok Cultural Exhibit. Throughout the day demonstrators will exhibit their skills in basketry, flint knapping, clamshell bead making, and more. Learn more about the culture and traditions of the Coast Miwok and other local American Indians at a variety of informational booths. WALNUT CREEK: Family Theatre Festival July 19, 2014. Presented by Chevron and produced by the Diablo Regional Arts Association and the Lesher Center for the Arts, the Chevron Family Theatre Festival offers families a low-cost day of non-stop theater, dance, and music performances along with visual arts activities both inside and outside the Lesher Center for the Arts. Acts include: Popovich Comedy Pet Theater. The show features Gregory Popovich and 30 trained animals including dogs, cats, geese, birds and mice in a comedy/circus act.
