The Fair is back in town with the Lodi Grape Festival featuring great entertainment, food, carnival, exhibits and so much more. For over 80 years in San Joaquin County people have gathered to celebrate the grape harvest at the annual Lodi Grape Festival. What started out as a small food festival in downtown Lodi has evolved into a four day event.
From 4-H Clubs countywide to Lions Clubs, Boy Scouts, Future Farmers of America, Farm Bureau and Grange Associations, organizations raise money by selling products at the Festival or by entering the wide variety of agriculture-related competitive exhibits offered each year.
The event includes a grape displays, competitions, and lots of great vendors where you can eat all sorts of food. There's a carnival and midway with games and entertainment. Community groups, bands and many things to see and do are in store at the Lodi Grape Festival.
The Festival's mission and main purpose
is to promote the agriculture and
agricultural products of San Joaquin
County, and to offer diverse forms of
agricultural education. The Festival
strives to present unique, family
oriented exhibits that not only
entertain, but educate and enlighten.
In addition, the Festival provides an
opportunity for many other non-profit
groups to raise funds for community and
charitable projects. Well over $150,000 is raised annually by
non-profit groups as a result of the
Festival, in addition to the more than
$30,000 in prize money paid out by the
Festival each year to individuals and
groups for their exhibits.
