The annual Art Deco Festival brings historians, romanticists and locals together to learn about one of the most colorfully rich eras as seen in the decor of the proud Queen Mary ship, and throughout the city of Long Beach, California, where an historical organization does much to preserve the great buildings--timepieces from the early 1900s.
The Golden Age of Travel is celebrated annually on one of the greatest Maritime Monarchs. Drink, dine, dance, and discover the opulence of this by-gone era immersed among the largest collection of Art Deco in the World.
Queen Mary ship boasts more than 50 different types of woods from all over the world, which is why The Queen Mary earned her nickname, the "Ship of Woods." With elaborate murals, paintings, sculptures and wood carvings found throughout the ship, it's no wonder she is widely considered one of the best examples and landmarks of Art Deco style in the world.
